The Ache of Too Much Tenderness

04 January 2017

I understand that feeling of time slipping through your fingers not that I have a little baby.

The resistance of trying to keep everything the same for awhile longer, not yet feeling that the presence has marinated long enough.

I tell Ryan that I don't like that feeling, and he helps me switch my mindset to the joy still coming with Charlotte.  Then I read Glennon's post, and she refers to that quiet sweeping feeling of watching our babies grow as "the ache of too much tenderness."  It's just so special and tender to have a little one.

However, I find SO much joy in Ryan, Charlotte, and I.  Our little clan.

Upward and onward,
